There’s something truly special about Marylebone Town Hall. Its iconic architecture and intimate ceremony rooms make it one of London’s most popular spots for couples looking to tie the knot. For me, it holds an extra layer of significance because it’s where my journey as a professional wedding photographer truly began.

Kat and Zy were my first-ever couple at Marylebone Town Hall, and their wedding will forever hold a special place in my heart. They found me through the wedding directory platform Hitched. As someone new to the platform, I wasn’t sure how quickly I’d get bookings—so you can imagine my delight when Kat’s enquiry popped up within a week!

A Love Story 15 Years in the Making

Kat and Zy had been together for over 15 years, and as Kat put it herself, “I’m ready to stop calling Zy my boyfriend.” Their bond, after so many years together, radiated throughout their wedding day. There was such ease and joy between them, which made photographing their day a dream.

Their small and intimate micro-wedding focused on the people and moments that mattered most to them. After their ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall, we walked through the streets of London for some portraits.

One of my favourite parts of the day was photographing Kat and Zy as they walked hand in hand through the city. They were in their own bubble, giddy with excitement, and they didn’t even seem to notice the crowds of people. And those crowds? They couldn’t help but notice Kat and Zy—treating them like celebrities as we strolled through Piccadilly Circus, decked out in full decor for the Queen’s Jubilee.

It was such a quintessentially “London” moment: the hustle and bustle of the city, historic landmarks, and a couple deeply in love, just soaking it all in.

A Celebration at Haymarket Hotel

After our time exploring the city, Kat and Zy made their way to the Haymarket Hotel, part of the Firmdale Hotel group, for an intimate lunch with their closest family and friends. It was the perfect way to end their wedding day—a celebration that was warm, personal, and true to who they are as a couple.

Why I Love Marylebone Town Hall

As my first professional wedding venue, Marylebone Town Hall sparked something I hadn’t fully realised before—how much I love photographing intimate, meaningful moments for couples on their wedding day. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many more weddings at Marylebone Town Hall, and each time I walk through those doors, I’m reminded of Kat and Zy and how they set me on this path.
