Jane and Jacob didn’t need much to shape their wedding day. London did that for them.
They moved through the city with their friends and family — from Hackney Town Hall to Alexandra Palace — letting everything unfold naturally along the way.
The ceremony at Hackney Town Hall was relaxed and full of people who knew them well. Afterwards, everyone spilled out onto the steps — confetti, hugs, and conversations carrying on into the street.
Instead of moving between locations quietly, the whole group travelled together on a London bus. A simple idea, but it changed the rhythm of the day — the journey becoming part of it, not just something in between. At Alexandra Palace, the pace slowed slightly. Guests spread out, drinks in hand, taking in the view across London before we set off again.
From there, we kept things loose. Walking, stopping, noticing.
Some of the best moments came from what was already there — stepping into shops, crossing the road together, standing outside a fish and chip shop. Nothing staged, just the city as it is.
Jane and Jacob didn’t want their wedding to feel like a photoshoot. They wanted to be present in it. London gave us everything we needed, movement, unpredictability, and space for things to happen naturally.
A mix of digital and film meant nothing needed to be interrupted or overworked — everything kept simple and unobtrusive.
